As i mentioned in the article though having a designated room is essential to minimise distractions. I know some people who work on their laptops in front of the tv whilst their better halfs are watching the usual rubbish thats on 24x7 but this just doesn't work. Your right about an external office, its a place of work and can potentially put you in a completely different mindset. However, there's also a cost tied to that which a lot of small business owners starting out just can't afford.
